Introducing Laurel jewelry!

December 2, 2009

(Los Angeles, CA) – Laurel jewelry (www.laureljewelry.com) debuted in 2008, whose name was inspired by the Southern California artist enclave, Laurel Canyon. Laurel jewelry is a joint venture from creative partners Jennifer Wysocki and Susan Shragg, who met in the media industry nearly a decade ago.

The friends share a background in and enthusiasm for art and design. And, after years of working together in the corporate world, they decided to form their own company and follow their passion – jewelry.

Diamonds and vibrant gems mixed with the rich color of 20k yellow or rose gold is the cornerstone of Laurel jewelry. The duo’s hand-cast pieces capture the tradition of exotic ornamentation found in India, combined with the effortless aesthetic of the iconic Southern California neighborhood.

Recently, Laurel jewelry has incorporated costume necklaces, earrings and bracelets into their repertoire. The mixed metal collection is a return to the basics with a modern approach. Vintage inspiration was drawn from an aged locket and restructured to a contemporary style pendant. Basic hoops have been updated with a burst of color and an oversized stone. The styles fuse and incorporate a twist on the classic, creating statement making pieces.

Laurel jewelry’s website was recently launched so now jewelry can be purchased online at http://www.laureljewelry.com.
